Seattle Photographs About Us

Howard FriskHoward Frisk is a Seattle based freelance photographer. As a native of Seattle, he has chosen to specialize in photographing his own hometown, the beautiful Emerald City, the jewel of the Great Pacific Northwest. Back in 1998, when posting photographs on the web was still something new, Howard creating a web site to showcase his Seattle area pictures. Soon after he created an online stock photography business, Seattle Photographs, and made his work available for licensing and as fine art prints.

Howard's goal in photographing Seattle and the Pacific Northwest is to capture the beauty of this unique region of our country. It's true that it rains in Seattle for days on end, but when the sun finally breaks though the clouds Seattle becomes glorious, and Howard has the photographs to prove it.

Howard recently completed his latest project for the well known guidebook publisher, Frommer's. They chose Howard to be the photographer for their upcoming Seattle Day by Day guidebook, which is due to be published in December 2008. In the spring of 2008, Frommer's gave Howard a list of over 200 "top priority" locations to be photographed, in five weeks. The deadline was met, and Frommers was very pleased with the results.

For those of you who have seen the New Line Cinema's motion picture The Last Minzy, you may recall the final scene opens with the camera zoomed in on a photograph of Mt Rainer. It then zooms back and you realize it is a photograph hanging on a wall in an elementary school classroom. This was a photographs from Howard's extensive stock photo library of Mt. Rainier pictures.
